Attestation of HRD Attestation - HRD attestation is the process of authentication of educational document. HRD authentication center is available in the each state. If the educational document needs to get attest from ministry of external affairs, then it should be first authenticate from that respective state HRD Department where universities / Board / council is located from and from where the same document have issued.
The Ministry of External Affairs attests original documents//true copies of documents for use abroad. Attestation done by the Ministry of External Affairs is of two types: 1. Apostille: India, since 2005, is a member of the Hague Convention of October 5, 1961 that abolished the requirement of legalization of foreign public documents. Normal Attestation: This is done for all the countries which are not a member of Hague Convention and where Apostille is not accepted.
Indian Originated document which required to produce in other countries have to be legalized from the respective Embassies/consulates in India. To legalize the document from the respective embassy specific process has to be followed. Document should be first authenticated from respective sate Home department or Human Resource Department and then followed by Ministry of external Affairs in New Delhi then finally respective Embassy will legalize the document.
